Hey, do you remember this post about the fancy italianate house in our neighborhood? Well the owners decided not to sell it. Instead they have opened a business there and have a web page. In fact, they are supposed to be doing some work on the landscaping this spring to make the place super appealing.
I am plugging this so they get a bunch of hits off this site which might prompt them to finish all the links on their site so you might get to see what the place looks like inside! When they have their page finished then maybe I'll add it to my list of Dayton links to the right of the main blog page and put it on my neighborhood web page.... hint, hint!

Tell them you know an Italianate homeowner who would be willing to trade web help for interior photoshtt ;)
I live up the road in Kettering, so have driven past this Italianate house (and yours) many times. There's been an antique business in that house for awhile. Dunno if it has always had the name Madisson House though (new owner maybe?). I only went in once, I think in 2005. Yeah, I wondered what was up with those funky walls...
Speaking of notable houses in the neighborhood--how about that godawful bright orange-yellow thing (you know which house I'm talking about!)

That is the home of "Drexel Dave" and his faithful side kick "Psycho" Gail. He has the "Real Dayton Photos" Blog that you can link to from my home page. The yellow grows on you. The white primered trim is what throws it off. I am still trying to convince them to paint the trim dark green but it has been almost two years.... Dave drives a school bus and parks it in front of his house at lunch time. I think he uses the house to camouflage the bus!
